Salar de Uyuni
We want to see your travel photos! Know of a beautiful and often Instagrammed location that you’d love to see featured? Send us a note through Tumblr!
Remnants of a giant prehistoric lake, Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat — spanning a vast 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 square miles).
Photographers flock to this beautiful white crystalline location in order to take advantage of the fantastical landscape. In the dry season this salt flat is a seemingly endless sparking white sea and, when covered with rain water, it’s transformed into the largest mirror on Earth, perfectly reflecting the entire sky.
